warning whatsapp users! your may be hacked.

We all use a very popular messenger application called 'whatsapp' which has over 1 billion users in the world, but now a days it has been hit by a spyware.

It is being claimed that whatsapp users who uses android smartphone are under threat and their phone may be hacked and data can be stolen from their smartphone by the recent malware.In a report of Zdnet, this malware was discovered by ESET researcher Lukas Stefando.

Main features of the malware.

According to Lukas Stefando this malware not only compromise whatsapp chats but have a variety of standard surveillance features.
This malware was gone under went an investigation by G data security labs. It was revealed that the malware has a codename "ownme".It was found in a public repository on Github.

This malware has a MAINACTIVITY. Class which launches the Ownme class service.Then a pop up message is shown on the android user's device with a text "service started" which shows that malware is in development, whatsapp user needs to be careful as these malware cases are increasing year by year.
Whatsapp is working with reliance bio to to spread awareness about these types of malware and fake messages.
